A Studio flat on the first floor of a converted 17th Century cider barn.

Approached by outside steps and set in the hamlet of Bircher a village between the lovely market towns of Ludlow and Leominster with its numerous antique shops.   The rent includes free WiFi, linen, towels and electricity.

The flat sleeps two in an antique brass bedstead with a really comfortable mattress.   It has an ensuite shower room with a walk in shower.

​

There is a well equipped galley kitchen fitted with a hob a microwaves small oven and a fridge/freezer as well as lots of pots and pans and a slow cooker.   There is a round dining table and four chairs.   We provide basics like salt, sugar, loo paper, cloths etc.

 

The sitting area has a comfortable sofa and two armchairs a television and a dvd player.   It also has an electric wood burning effect stove.  It has central heating with additional electric heating as desired.

 

There is no pub in the village of Bircher but a 20 minute walk across fields will bring you to the village of Yarpole where there is a pub with a restaurant and a prize winning village shop set in a church.    Yarpole is a five minute drive by car

For walkers or riders we have amazing countryside just up the lane with a National Trust common and an ancient hill fort with incredible views across to Wales and the Black Mountains.

 

We live in the other part of the converted

 

Cider barn with our two wire-haired

dachshunds and the whole barn is very

 

well insulated and sound proofed.   The

 

flat has its own entrance and small

 

garden and is very private.

 

 Well behaved dogs are welcome by

 

arrangement and also horses as there is

 

miles of off road riding available.

 

There are several National Trust properties close by including Croft Castle and Berrington Hall and Ironbridge with its museums and historical attractions is half an hour's drive away.

 

There is an hourly bus service to Ludlow, Leominster and Hereford where there are train stations.

DIRECTIONS

​

The postcode HR6 0AY will take you to Leys Lane, Bircher.   When you enter Leys Lane turn Immediately right up the track after the first cottage on the right and follow it up to the top and then along the drive to the base of the steps to the flat where you can unload before parking back along the drive.

Arrival can be any time after 3pm as the flat will be left open for you and please try to leave by 10.30 on your day of departure.
